Visited twice in the last few years - always perfect, high class service.
We visited CA Dario as part of a food tour of Santa Barbara. I highly recommend it. The staff was very professional and friendly. Intimate atmosphere. The food was amazing. The house wines were good. The brown butter and sage ravioli was great. I still crave it.
MoreIntimate dining experience. Friendly professional staff. Killer carbonara. Ate there before going to see Madame Butterfly. Will definitely be going back
MoreWow this place is great... food and wine is amazing... would love to come back again!
MoreMy wife and I and two friends had dinner here Valentine's day weekend. We thought food and wine were both excellent. I had lobster risotto and she had the ravioli. Both were very good and there were no complaints about the food. We were seated promptly upon arrival having done reservations through open table. We had a baby with us which the restaurant was able to accommodate despite there being limited space. The only thing you should be aware of is that there are a lot of tables for a restaurant that is not very big so if you personal space issues it may not be for you. The food was well worth the price and I can definitely recommend this for a dinner night out in Santa Barbara. I would say that while the baby worked out little children with high energy would be a no go.
MoreExpensive, but the food is exceptional. The table by the door is actually plenty comfortable, as the door is kept closed. Don't let worries of cold air trick you out of a good seat!
MoreExcellent Italian food. Great service. Warm and cozy environment
Nice Italian spot with good food!
Great food, so many options and always delicious. Had a tasty burger and Puttanesca. Their salmon is also perfect in taste. The service was fairly quick.
MoreThe service is great but the food is just okay. Pasta doesn't seem freshly made in house. Decent wine selection and prices. Ordered carbonara once and it came out more like it was drenched in alfredo sauce.
MoreI always come by buying some food here. I liked the fast customer service and well cooked dishes. Keep it up.
MoreNice food, great customer service
Cozy ambiance, celebrated a wedding here, servers were very accommodating to our group of 12. I recommend the antipasto with grilled veges and goat cheese, the chocolate mousse was delectable!!😊
MoreExcellent food. Service was exceptional. Ordered the Tera Cotta Baked Chicken.
I dont like Italian food, but the spinach raviolis with sage butter are the bomb. I only ordered and most of the time I get 2 portions. I have never had Italian food I liked (personally I don't like starch), but this place is phenomenal. Now with that being said the reason I deducted 2 stars is the owner (or manager) is a horrible person. He lacks customer service capabilities and should be in an office far from the restaurant. The food is great but the vibe and atmosphere isn't, as long as he is there. I've been there when he isn't and the service was great because not everybody was demoralized and walking on eggshells. Despite the owner i would go back for just that dish because the spinach raviolis are divine.
MoreI got the tuna sandwich with the side salad. The customer service was absolutely amazing. But the sandwich was very dry and plain. Giving 4 stars because of the impeccable service.
MoreWe had never been here before, despite having walked past it many times. Made a reservation for dinner on a stay-cation - it was terrific. Saturday night of Valentines Day weekend, so it was busy, and we were quite close to other tables - but service and food were great. We will be back!
MoreWonderful food. I look forward to going back again
Best brunch in the city. So many options and always delicious. Burger was bomb and I had the mortadella Benny! I can't wait to go back
MoreIt's a really big Meh...both apps (eggplant parm and a stuffed cold artichoke) had so much chopped tomato and raw garlic, you had to wonder what each dish was all about. I won't even get into the pasta or the chicken. Walking away from this place having ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees and $44 bottle of white, I feel robbed parting with $130 in total. And even without the drinks, anything near $100 for this quality is a mistake worth not repeating.
MoreThis place never fails to deliver. They serve fantastic food for convenient pricing, there no long wait even when the spot is loaded.
MoreGood Italian food small restaurant with nice atmosphere very friendly staff
Loved it so much came back the next night.
Upscale restaurant. Great food, good service. Pictures say it all.
Good food with great taste.
Good service, great food! We've been eating here for about 2 years, 3 to 4 times a year across different seasons. Every meal we've tried has been good to amazing. The Bolognese is my personal favorite and it's really hard for me to not order it and try something else.
MoreAlways a must when coming back to visit the old 805 stomping grounds. You have to try the pasta pillows. You will be craving them for years.
MoreGreat location to have lunch after visiting the courthouse. Everything we tried here are delicious!!!
MoreDaughter and son in law took me here. Love the pasta. Great customer service. Will definitely come back here.
MoreQuick-serving, tasty dishes, friendly staff, open at 4pm .
The staff was nice, and accommodating. The service was fairly quick. Unfortunately both myself and my boyfriend found our food to be very bland. Very little flavor to the cream sauce on my ravioli. His sauce on his fusilli type veggie pasta was like vegetable water. Almost as if the veggies were cooked in some sort of watery liquid and then poured over the noodles with very little seasoning. At least not that we could taste. They gave very good bread, and olive oil for dipping but it would have tasted much better with a flavorful vinegar to mix it with. We really liked the bruschetta though. I dont think I would return to this restaurant.
MoreBirthday dinner celebratin party of four. My husband and I ordered the lasagna at $25. Chalked that up to typical high priced S.B. Rest. The lasgna had no garlic and the sauce was creamy tomato. Basket of bread thin sliced served w/ pure olive oil no seasoning. Requested another basket of bread that cost an extra $2.50. When we requested butter, we were denied our request " they don't serve butter with bread". Bad business practice of cheap cutting corners.
MoreThe food and service was excellent. Very intimate. Pricier than I would usually pay, but it was worth the cost.
MoreWow my lunch at Ca' Dario was fabulous. I ordered the salad with squid steak the wine and desert were fabulous as well!
MoreRelaxed but refined. Enjoyed our Negronis, and the wine list is strong. Grilled choices were especially good. Vegetarian and gluten free choices available.
MoreAn Italian food that you travel for! Totally amazing and authentic Italian food that I’m sure that I’ll go back for, again! We had:1- Ravioli 100/10 💯 this dish is super good and you must have it to know the true potential of this place 2- Risotto 10/10 another very good dish 3- Chocolate cake with ice cream 1000/10 SUPER GOOD! you must keep space for it! I believe whatever you order here would be perfect! 😋😋😋
MoreFantastic food and great service! Romantic little neighborhood place. The ravioli in sage and brown butter is where it's at. By far the best Italian and best pasta dish I've had in SB!
MoreThe best Italian cuisine... the raviolis with sage are addictive
Overpriced, but great quality. Good wine list too
This place is remarkable. The Bolognese is sublime; somehow they get a subtle smoky flavor in with the creamy, tomato-y goodness you'd expect. I can't explain it properly, but it's delicious. Their brown butter and sage sauce is wonderful, and their desserts are delectable. It's not the cheapest place in town (nor the most expensive) but it is worth every penny.
MoreWonderful italian seafood! reservations recommended for weekend nights. I've had several amazing family dinners here.
MoreDelicious food and wonderful staff. Very cozy, but not so quiet. There's a bit of a bustle. Will definitely return in the future.
MoreTagliatelle Bolognese was divine. I felt like I was in Bologna, Italy!
An absolute must for fine Italian cuisine with best Lamb chops! Every dish to perfection with surprisingly good price.
MoreAwesome place. My second most favorite pizza in town! The service is great and the waitress kept checking up on us constantly. The pizza came out fast and it was beyond delicious. Highly recommend
MoreWarm decor, food was tasty, but way overpriced. Friendly waitstaff .
Quaint and beautiful restaurant with good Italian food! The servers were very polite and enthusiastic and the food was delicious!
MoreCozy vibe. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Not a huge menu, but enough to choose from. The food taste good, just above average American Italian. It was not busy at 5pm on a Saturday, it did get busier as the evening progressed.
MoreHorrible inconsiderate staff. My girlfriend and I arrived in SB late and came here for dinner. The restaurant only had a few patrons and an obnoxious server (who looked like an aging alcoholic) sat us in the worst spot. We asked to be seated at another table and he gave us attitude and made us feel like second class citizens. We waited for almost 15 minutes to get our water. We then overheard the people sitting next to us complaining about the service and substandard food. This was enough for us to pick up and leave. We wound up going to another Italian restaurant in the area and had the most amazing server and were treated like royalty. There are so many wonderful restaurants in the SB area. Don't waste your time here. They deserve to go out of business.
MoreLovely food, cozy and elegant. But the most expensive pasta an Italian can eat.
